Joseph J. 'Brother' Persilver passed away peacefully at Legacy on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at the age of 78. He was a retired Boat Captain, resident and native of Plaquemine, LA. Brother was a US Army Veteran. Visitation will be held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Monday, November 21, 2022, from 11am until religious services at 1pm, conducted by Pastor Garrett Brown. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Brother is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Langlois Persilver; children, Joyce Simpson, Amy Brigalia and husband Johnny Courtarde, Gerald Persilver, and Barbara Moore and husband William; granddaughter whom he raised, Tristen Gros and husband Jude; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Betty Goins and husband Gerald, and Charles Persilver and wife Judy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his son, Albert Nettles; parents, Joseph, and Amy Verret Persilver; siblings, Jane Tharp, Barbara Lege, and Gerald B. Persilver.
