Joseph F. Petruzzi

Joseph F. Petruzzi, 55, of Washington Township, New Jersey went home to be with the Lord on July 16, 2023 after less than a two week battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Beloved son of Joseph and Doris (nee Pizzuto). Dear brother of Deanna Petruzzi-Fooks (Rick) and Deborah Petruzzi. Loving uncle of Daniel and Alyssa. Loved by Uncle Dan, Aunt Ronnie, Aunt Lucille, Aunt Shirley, and many cherished cousins and dear friends.
Joseph earned his MBA and had a successful career as the Director of Information Services for the Philadelphia Regional Port Authority for over 22 years. Joseph was an active member of the Philadelphia Port Community and was loved by all.
Joseph was certainly a man of many talents, interests, and communities. His dedication to his church, his music, his garden, and his friends showed his love for creating beauty in the world. For the past two years, he volunteered creating a beautiful garden at The Funny Farm Rescue to provide not only crops but immense joy to every person who visited. His passion for boating, crabbing, traveling, golfing, and performing exemplified how he cherished having fun in his every day life. Above all, his love for God and his family were of utmost priority in his life. No matter how busy he was while living life, he was always there for his parents, sisters, niece, and nephew, and supported them in every aspect of their lives. He loved his niece and nephew, Daniel and Alyssa, as his own children. He never missed a single one of their events, performances, awards, recitals, sports games, graduations, and everything else imaginable in between. His spirit will live on in his family's hearts forever.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, July 22nd from 10:00 – 12:00 PM at the Gloucester County Community Church, 359 Chapel Heights Rd., Sewell, NJ 08080. Celebration of Life service begins 12:00 PM.
