Richmond Township, Ohio - Joseph Edward Powell, born on April 1, 1948, in Parma, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Joseph lived a life marked by love for his family and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He was born on April 1, 1948, in Clevland, Ohio, the son of Helen (Golomol) and Joseph Edward Powell. Joseph was a 1966 graduate of Parma High School. Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii, carring out his duties with honor and dedication.
On September 18, 1971, Joseph married his beloved wife, Linda Ann Wisniewski. Together, they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage and raised two children in Parma before later settling in Dorset, Ohio. Joseph cherished time spent with his family and found joy in hunting, fishing, and other sportsman activities.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Ann Powell of Richmond, Ohio; his children, Jennifer Ann (Louis) Gage-Scibelli of Lagrange, Ohio, and Joseph Geza Alfred Powell of Richmond, Ohio; and his four grandchildren, Nathan Charles Gage (Savannah Marie Moore) and Andrew Joseph Gage (Juanita Ellen Merced). Joseph was preceded in death by his loving mother, Helen Golombos Powell. After her passing, he was raised by his caring uncle, Geza Golombos, with whom he shared a special bond. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May the memory of Joseph Edward Powell bring comfort to those who loved him and serve as a testament to a life well-lived.
