Joseph S. Redman

Joseph S. Redman, Jr., 72, a lifelong resident of Fairfield, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021. He was born in Norwalk to the late Marion (Brown) and Joseph S. Redman, Sr. Joe served honorably in the U.S Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Town of Fairfield after many dedicated years with Public Works.
Joe had a passion for antique cars and hot rods. He also enjoyed geocaching, fishing, and loved to work in the yard and relax with family and friends.
Joe is survived by his brother, Robert L, Redman, Sr. and his wife Mary of Fairfield and his sister, Phyllis Mandulak and her husband, Paul, of Monroe. He will be sorely missed by his beloved nephews, Robert L. Redman, Jr. and his brother Joseph "J.R." Antoniani, Robert's wife Kristen, and Joseph's wife Kimberly. Also, nephews Michael and Scott Mandulak, Kyle Fredette and niece, Donna Manudlak.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Timothy J. Redman and his sister, Susan L. Redman.
Joe's family would like to wholeheartedly thank his dear friend and caretaker, Valerie Jenkins for the love and compassion she gave to him and his family.
Friends may greet his family on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Rd. in Fairfield. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will begin at 5:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
