Joseph William Schubert, Jr., age 58, of Medford Lakes, NJ, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
Joe was born in Philadelphia, PA, and had resided in Voorhees, NJ, before moving to Medford Lakes. He was extremely proud of his Philadelphia roots, which cultivated a deep passion for the Flyers, Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers. A longtime Mummer and member of the Downtowners, Joe also dedicated much of his time as a Scout Leader for Troop 20. He was a hard worker who would help anyone in need. In his downtime, he enjoyed fishing, listening to classic rock, and engaging in home projects with his family. Above all, he cherished the time spent with family and friends and will be so deeply missed by those he leaves behind.
Joe is survived by his beloved spouse, Lisa Schubert (nee Schroeder); children, Ryan Schubert (Nicolette) and Eric Schubert; and his dog, Carson. He was predeceased by his dog, Schultzie.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 17th, from 9:45 AM to 11:30 AM, immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, both at St. Mary of the Lakes RC Church, 40 Jackson Road, Medford, NJ. Interment will follow at Park View Cemetery, 25 Fostertown Road, Medford, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joe's name may be made to the Philadelphia Metro Wildlife Center (phillywildlife.org).

I am so sorry we lost Joe. I had the pleasure of running cross country and track with Joe in the mid 80's. He was not only talented but worked hard. He will surely be missed... from Eastern track alumni. The Shea's

Though the time I've known Joe is but a couple of months, I have to say he left quite a memorable impression on myself and my co workers here @ RSS. I am deeply saddened that such a bright light has left us. Praying for comfort for you all as you move through the difficult days ahead. God bless you and sweet Joe.

Joe was part of my family for more than 30 years.
Here is what I know: He was a good husband, father and friend.
Eager to help. Easy to laughter. Music lover. Misguided fan of Philly teams.
It's unreal to think he's gone, but it's also true that he'll stay with us forever.
This was a good man.

I worked with Joe a couple of years ago...he worked hard and was an extremely nice man. May he rest in peace. Sorry for your loss.
