Joseph John Serritella died on October 15, 2024. He was born on November 18, 1932 in Passaic, New Jersey. He was 91 years old.
He graduated from Clifton High School in June of 1951. He received a Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's Degree from the Stevens Institute of Engineering in 1955 and a Master's Degree in Automotive Engineering from the Chrysler Institute of Engineering in 1957.
J.J. retired from Chrysler in 1990 as Director of Corporate Timing and has been an Arizona resident for more than 20 years. While in Prescott, he served as Vice Chairman of the County Republican Party and later, Publicity Director for the Prescott Pops Symphony.
Mr. Serritella's love for music was extraordinary. He sang in many Catholic Church Choirs since he was 15 years old. While in Michigan, he sang Tenor for the Shrine of the Little Flower Parish in Royal Oak. While in Prescott, he sang Baritone at the Sacred Heart Parish, since 1991.
J.J. is survived by his wife Joan May Serritella and four children, Judith Ann Sirut, Therese Petrongelli, Margaret Mary Boggs, and Thomas Joseph Serritella. There are also five surviving grandchildren: Amy Marie Petrongelli, Emily and Annie Boggs and Michael and Jane Serritella.
