Joseph Clayton Simpkins

Joseph Clayton, age 80, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Joseph's life was marked by deep love for his family and community. Born to the late Samuel and Anna Simpkins, Joseph was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth, and his brothers, Samuel and John, as well as four grandsons, whose memories are cherished dearly.
Joseph spent much of his childhood at Milton Hershey School where the foundations of a lifelong commitment to service and hard work were built. He was a long time member of Parkview Avenue Church and departed life with steadfast faith in Jesus Christ. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy L. Simpkins (Marshall), and their enduring bond is a testament to love and resilience. Joseph leaves behind a large and loving family including Cindy Gesswein (David), Gregory Simpkins (Kathy), Robert Bubeck Jr. (Cheryl), Suzanne Hickey (Adam). He was the proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, with more on the way.
A viewing and visitation will be held Monday, May 12th from 11AM-12PM at Eugene J. Zale Funeral Home 712 N White Horse Pike Stratford, NJ 08084. Funeral Service to begin at 12PM. Burial to follow at Locustwood Memorial Park Cherry Hill, NJ
