Joseph Stanley Tangney         It all began on October 1st, 1943, when Brooklyn, NY was rocked by an apparent earthquake that was later discovered to be the birth of Joseph Stanley Tangney entering this world. Joe was born to mother Marie Guy and father Joseph Tangney and was the second oldest to his siblings Patti, Chris, Liz, Jack, Eileen, Michael and Gail.  In 1961, Joe wanted to escape the mean streets of Long Island and decided to join the Air Force where he could see the world. He would later find out that he would be stationed all the way across the globe in Westhampton Beach, NY.  Joe spent 4 years with the Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1965 and later got a job with Pan Am Airlines.       Fast forward some years to a local saloon in Long Beach.  On that day, Joe laid his eyes on an angel sent from heaven, his future wife Anne.  After several failed attempts to woo her with his Irish brogue, Anne decided to give him a shot and to her surprise Joe showed her how loving, kind, thoughtful and funny he was (not to mention handsome).  Apparently, that's just what Anne was looking for because in 1968 Anne and Joe were married and settled down in Freeport, NY starting a family with their sons Craig, Darren and Andrew.  Later down the road, Joe had an opportunity to transfer to Florida through Pan Am where they bought a house in Sunrise and made that their forever home.       Joe loved to travel, especially to the islands, because of his affinity for the beach and sun.  He loved spending time with his family whether it was at the beach, watching us play a baseball/football game, or at home watching movies on his bed with a chocolate malted.       Joe was a man's man that worked hard, whether it be at the airlines for over 40 years or at home building or fixing something.  He was the type of guy that would tell you how it is and what he thought, even if you didn't want to hear it!  He would have your back no matter what.  The man wasn't scared of anything except for losing his family, he adored them more than anyone could imagine.  He loved more than most knew under his macho exterior and absolutely enjoyed making people laugh.  He will be missed dearly and cannot be replaced.  There is only one Joe Tags in this world, and he was ours.  So, make way heaven and brace yourselves for Joe's arrival, because as my mom has probably already told you, you had better let him in or he's kicking the gates down because his wife and son are waiting on him.       Joe is survived by his son Darren and wife Stacey, son Andrew and wife Aisha, grandchildren Bryce, Alisa, Deneice, Layken and Jaxson.         We Will Always Love You and Miss You!
