Joseph Michael Taylor, 81, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Morgantown Heights. He was born September 30, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late John and Myrtle (Skarren) Taylor.
Joe worked at Ruby Memorial Hospital for 23 years before his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his wife and family and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his spouse, Caroline (Cotter) Taylor; children, Anita Courlesky, Dawn Shahan, Joe Taylor Jr., Rod Taylor, Michael Taylor; grandchildren, Ashley, Tara, Alicia, Ryan, Robbie, Ridge, Joelle, Korie, and Jolyn; siblings, Kay Jacobs, Denny Taylor, Bob Taylor, and Jackie Taylor; and many great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his dogs and cat that he loved very much, Hercules, Athena, Roo Roo, and Grayson.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by siblings, Dot Wisniewski and Barb Welsh and grandson, Charles Shahan.
The family would like to thank the staff at Morgantown Heights and Amedisys Hospice for their love and support.
