Joseph Sylvester Thibodeaux, Jr., entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the age of 78. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Joseph was a graduate of L. B. Landry Class of 1965 and Southern University. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Joseph was employed as an educator with the Orleans Parish School System. Beloved father of Keith Thibodeaux, Craig Thibodeaux, Raynard Thibodeaux, Jovonna Thibodeaux, Jorren Horace, Khloe Thibodeaux (Rudolph) Pinder, and the late Mark K. Thibodeaux. Son of the late Joseph S. Thibodeaux, Sr. and Bee Ella Thibodeaux. Brother of Wilbert (Carolyn) Thibodeaux, Charles Thibodeaux, Nelvin Thibodeaux, Willie (Robert) Jackson, and the late Dolores Riley, Lloyd Thibodeaux, Sr., and Kidearn Thibodeaux. Life partner of the late Cynthia Miller, also survived by his bonus sons Ronald (Danielle) Miller, Jr. and D’Artanian (Kristy) Miller, Sr., 13 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also priests and parishioners of All Saints Catholic Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at All Saints Catholic Church, 1441 Teche Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11:30a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
