Our beloved Pa went to play the harmonica with the Angels. Joseph Franklin VanDeMark Sr., age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at his home with his loving family at his side.
Joe was born March 17, 1943, in Hollenback, PA, the son of the late Stephen Frank and Kathryn Roseanne Adams VanDeMark. He graduated from Wyalusing High School, a member of the class of 1962. He married the former LaRue Loletta Sickler on March 4, 1964, and she predeceased him on March 19, 2002, after 38 years of marriage.
Joe was engaged in farming on Spring Hill, and later worked in a sawmill, a clothing factory. He also drove a propane truck and did other jobs. However, farming was his passion before he retired.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Homer Funeral Home, 83 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA.
