Born on June 28,1994 in Newark, New Jersey @ age 8 in 2004, he transitioned to the state of Florida with his surviving mom Gloriaivette Melendez (53,) stepdad Francisco Rodriguez (52,) two sisters; Stephanie Marie Hidalgo (33,) Francheska Alizee Rodriguez- Melendez (20,) brother Lazaro Alberto Varona (53,) aunt Karla Michelle Martinez, cousin Johnathan Smith and Juliana.
Joseph attended Miami Beach High School for 3 years. Jay was loved by many school peers that not only were his friends, they became like his brothers.
Joseph worked as a security officer for 12 years and was loved by many, always would show up with recognition from work gifts cards, etc. In addition he was funny, deep in heart, loving and caring to help others.
Joseph was a one-of-a-kind special growing up being the only male in the house.
Joe will be lovingly remembered & deeply missed by his beloved Mother Gloriaivette Melendez, beloved sisters: Stephanie Marie Hidalgo & Francheska A Rodriguez-Melendez, brother Alberto Varona, son King Caleb Varona Jr., nephew Randy Varona and Niece Aaliyah Vazquez and grandmother Gloria De Jesus.
Family will receive friends Saturday, August 31, 2024, 1-3pm with funeral service in memory of "Joe" "Jay" will be held Saturday, August 31,2024, @3:00pm at the funeral home Gary Panoch Funeral Home.

Joseph was a sweet young man, my former coworker. He was so happy to know he was going to be a father. I´m so sad that he passed away! Sweet dreams until we meet again in heaven!
