It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joseph Anthony Vingo, on September 26, 2024. He was born and raised in Bronx, New York. Joe learned the value of hard work early on, mastering the trade of pressman printing at a young age-a career that shaped his life and provided for his beloved family.
Joe was a loving father, grandfather, brother to Michael (deceased), Steven (deceased) and Margaret, uncle to many, relative and friend to all. He is survived by his three children: Cindy (David), Joseph (Diane), and Eric (Jamie), and his eight grandchildren: David, Nicholas, Christopher, Joseph, Violet, Robert, Johnnie, and Mia. He shared a lifelong and special bond with Robin, the mother of his children, who remained his best and closest friend throughout his life.
Joe's life revolved around the joy and growth of his children and grandchildren and he was unmatched in his commitment. He never missed a game, school event, or important moment. Whether spending hours throwing baseballs in the backyard or arriving at every game with treats and refreshments, his involvement was a constant source of love and encouragement.
Though a man of few words, each word he spoke carried significance. He lived by the principle, "what's right is right," a saying that will forever guide his family.
He will be missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, integrity, and tireless devotion to his family will continue to influence those he held dear. His love will forever resonate in their hearts.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 29th, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ballard-Durand Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 2 Maple Avenue, White Plains, New York. A Funeral Mass will take place at 12 p.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church in Harrison, New York, on Monday, September 30th, followed by burial at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, NY.
Memories and condolences can be left on the obituary at the funeral home website.
