Joseph Weimert

Joseph Weimert Age 72, of Rice Lake, WI, died Sunday, March 3, 2024 in Eau Claire, WI. He was born on February 15, 1952 in Mankato, MN to Edward and Beverly (Zernechel) Weimert. Joe graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1970. He was married to Karen Uchytil on February 28, 1976 in Rice Lake. Joe owned and operated EBJ Livestock as a live-stock buyer in Rice Lake for many years and operated the golf course in Rice Lake from 1977-1979. He loved hunting, fishing, playing Keno, gambling in Las Vegas, spending time at their cabin on Lake Superior, and enjoyed going to the Apostle Islands for over 20 years. Joe loved spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Karen Weimert; 3 children, Joseph (Bobbi), Daniel (Jessie) and Sarah Weimert; 6 grandchildren, Lauren, Ella, Gavin, Luca, Evelyn and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Beverly Weimert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Friday, March 8, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rice Lake, Father Joseph Kumar officiating, with a luncheon to follow at Lehman's Supper Club in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM Thursday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church on Friday. Joe had the best smile. He has a very special place in our hearts and will be truly missed.
