Josephine Mary DeDominicis, age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 5th,
2024 at Hampton Ridge Nursing Home, Toms River NJ.
Born and raised in Ulster County, New York, she was one of eight children. Josephine is
predeceased by her husband Nicholas DeDominicis Sr. whom she was married to for forty
years. They built their life together in Saddle River, NJ.
Josephine was a devoted mother of five children, her pride and joy. She is predeceased by her
beloved daughter Patricia DeDominicis Cocka of Toms River NJ and she is survived by her
children, Nicholas DeDominicis Jr.,(wife Debbie DeDominicis) of Brick NJ, Linda DeDominicis
Kowatch(husband Nicolas Kowatch Sr.) of Ridgefield NJ, Maryanne DeDominicis
Opperman (husband Dennis Opperman) of Toms River, NJ and Michael DeDominicis (wife
Anna DeDominicis) of Toms River NJ.
Josephine also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, Nicholas DeDominicis the III, Melissa
DeDominicis Ghaffari, Nicole Cocka Pagano, Michelle Cocka Hoti, Nicholas Kowatch the III,
Joseph Kowatch, Kelly Kowatch Gabel, Jessica Vitale, James Vitale, Trevor Opperman, Michael
DeDominicis Jr., and Olivia DeDominicis. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren. Her
family meant everything to her.
Josephine was a dedicated mother, sister, wife, stay home mom, friend, and believed in her faith
with God. Holidays were her favorite time as it would be a time where her large family would
come together. She had the most beautiful blue eyes. She will be in our hearts forever and we
are comforted to know her soul is at peace resting in Jesus' arms and reunited with her loved
ones looking over us. She will live on in our hearts and memories of all those who lives
she touched.
Josephine will be cremated and a mass will be held in her honor at St. Luke's Church, 1674 Old
Freehold Rd. Toms River NJ, Saturday September 14th, 2024 at 9 am. Family and friends are
all welcomed. A repass will follow after for family and friends. Any donations in lieu of flowers
can be made to an Alzheimer's charity in her name
