Janet Weber Obituary

It is with great sadness that we lost Janet L. Weber (Uzzolino), age 94, on September 2nd - the heart and soul of our family. She passed peacefully at Brick Memorial Hospital surrounded by family and her unwavering faith. A faith that provided peace and strength to Janet throughout her life and death.

Born on December 7th, 1930, in the Ironbound section of Newark, NJ, Janet was raised by her parents Catherine (Gartland) and Anthony Uzzolino, and was the youngest of seven children (Rose, Rose, George, Veronica, Joseph and John). Janet graduated from Eastside High School.

Janet married the love of her life and childhood friend George Weber at St. Benedict's Church on June 26, 1955. They were happily married 31 years until George passed away on March 28, 1986. In addition to being an exceptional mother and wife, Janet worked for the Fraternal Orders of Eagles and Teamster Local 478 Pension and Welfare Fund.

Janet was predeceased by her husband and her siblings. She was a beloved mother to Sharon Oleszkiewicz and her husband John and George Weber and his wife Ria. She will be dearly missed by her five grandchildren: Jessica Oleszkiewicz; Cassie Biniukow and her husband Gregory; Christoper Weber and his fiancé Rich Stubbs; Ryan Weber; Gia Weber and her fiancé Kevin Bodine. Janet was a treasured great grandmother to Matthew Stubbs, Cassius Biniukow and Zosia Biniukow. Janet's family was the joy of her life. She also leaves behind her two sisters-in-law Gloria Uzzolino and Marie Watt, as well as a big loving family of nieces, nephews, great & great great nephews, and nieces.

Janet lived and appreciated life to its fullest. She had the bluest of eyes, a generous heart, and an ever-positive presence. She made friends wherever she went: on her many travels, in her church, and even at doctor visits. She had an incredible memory, never forgetting to acknowledge birthdays and other special occasions with either a card or a phone call. Janet traveled the world, was an excellent cook (always sharing her sauce and soups with friends, family, and neighbors), an avid reader, a competitive game player, and loved listening to music. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She looked forward to being reunited with all her previously departed friends, family, and most of all her husband George.

Funeral services will be conducted at Silverton Memorial Funeral Home on 2482 Church Road, Toms River on Friday, September 5th from 4 – 8pm and Saturday, September 6th at 8am.

A mass will be conducted at St Lukes Church, 1674 Old Freehold Rd, Toms River, on Saturday, September 6th at 9:15am.

In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to St Jude's Research Hospital.
