Josephine "Jody" Mitchell Josephine "Jody" (Osiadach) Mitchell, 92, of Chadds Ford, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on March 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Alexia Osiadach and the late Olga (Nowak) Osiadach, and devoted wife of the late William J. Mitchell.
Jody had been living in Chadds Ford, PA for the last 5 years. Prior to moving to Chadds Ford, she resided in Collegeville, PA.
Jody attended John Bartram High School, and was part of the graduating class of 1950.
Jody loved spending time with her grandchildren and was affectionately known as "Bochi." Planning parties and celebrations for family and friends was one of her favorite pastimes. This allowed her to make use of her amazing baking and artistic talents in creating unbelievable specialty cakes for every celebration. Jody was an avid reader and also passionate about sending hand-written letters and cards to all of her family and friends on every holiday and special occasion. She was also known to enjoy the challenge of a good crossword puzzle.
Jody is survived by her daughter, Diane (& Jeff) Hunter, and her grandchildren, Shelby, Nicholas and Noelle.
Along with her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Wayne Thomas Vile, her sister, Helen Lesczynski, and her brother, Peter Osiadach.
Jody's Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, PA 19468. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
Interment will also take place at Limerick Garden of Memories.
Memorial Contributions may be made in her honor to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the American Heart Association.
