Johnston – Joshua P. Brothers, 36, passed away on April 25, 2025, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Kayla M. (Couture) Brothers and the adored father of Baylee Carole Brothers.
Born on March 29, 1989, in Attleboro, MA, to Tammy J. (Paradiso) Brothers and Edward Brothers, Josh was the maternal grandson of Albert Ferreira and the late Carole A. (George) Ferreira, and the paternal grandson of Edward Ondrasek and Mary Pafume. He was the brother of Jessica Kemp (husband Shawn), Jeanne Paradiso (spouse Nelson Oliveira), and Jonathan Brothers (wife Grace).
A graduate of Johnston High School, Josh became certified as a Pharmacy Technician, Level 2, and was working for the Neighborhood Health Pharmacy Department. He previously worked at several local CVS Pharmacies.
Josh was an avid Boston Celtics fan, and a faithful follower of the Dallas Cowboys and Boston Bruins. He enjoyed listening to music, family game nights, close friendships, and a good "Dad joke". Joshua loved traveling with Kayla, especially on cruise ships. Their favorite destination was Aruba. He would decorate his mom's fridge with magnets from every destination.
Josh and Baylee spent lots of time drawing together. Baylee enjoyed a good tickle time with her dad and ending it with a long snuggle. Josh and Baylee also loved to have kitchen dance parties and watch the Celtics together. Josh often referred to Baylee as "Mamma" or "Muffy" and would always be cheering her on at a dance competition or recital.
His funeral service will be held at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick on Thursday, May 1 at 10 AM. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 30 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Condolences may also be offered to his family and favorite memories of Josh share online at www.carpenterjenks.com.
