Joshua Corona Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services on May 25, 2023.
Joshua Ramon Corona
"Josh" Went to be home with the Lord on May 16, 2023. Joshua was the son of Sergio Corona, Gloria
Corona and Bonus Mom, Heather Corona. He was born on the cold day of December 29, 1998, in Norfolk Virginia, he came home as a baby with asthma, wearing an oxygen mask hooked to a machine to help him breathe.
Joshua had a natural talent for art, as a computer animator and artist. His recent job was at Amazon as a friendly and respectful delivery driver. He was excited to finish his deliveries to make it in the top as one of the fastest delivery drivers. Josh would pet any animal that would let him and enjoyed taking a photo of the delivered package with the house and pet in the photo, if possible, to make the customer smile. Joshua worked along his father's side and brothers-in-law and fellow employees as an electrician. He had a sharp mind for understanding electrical work. He was strong and fit so that made him great at crawling in the crawl spaces. Joshua shared many lunch breaks eating the foods he loved and sharing laughs with his father and his brothers-in-law. The customers enjoyed Joshua on a job, he was always polite and considerate.
He is cherished and loved by his mother, Gloria Corona; father, Sergio Corona and bonus mom, Heather; sisters, Vanessa Corona, Erica Heaps (Chris), and Amanda Nettesheim (Ben). He will also be dearly missed by his nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Chesapeake Baptist Church, 1101 Burns St, Chesapeake VA 23320. A service to celebrate his life will begin at 11 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Following the graveside service, the family invites you to join them at 1 p.m. for a time of food and fellowship at Chesapeake Baptist Church.
Joshua was caring and Kind. He was once asked "what is one memory that you remember that was fun?" he replied "walking home from school with some friends. We went to buy donuts; we each had enough money to buy one. As we were walking home to our neighborhood it began pouring rain! We began running home in the rain trying to eat our donuts before it got soggy, that was so much fun we all were laughing while running in the rain."
Joshua knew Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. From the time he was a baby until age 11 he attended East Coast Baptist Church and then Chesapeake Baptist Church became his home church.
Joshua served in the bus ministry, cut the grass, and often provided rides to church in his personal vehicle for family members and his church family.
He will be missed tremendously. Always caring and kind and trying to make others smile.
We will see Joshua in glory someday.
