Joshua Tee Crowley (1977 - 2025)
Joshua Tee Crowley, a man loved by so many, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, July 17th, 2025. He was only 48.
Josh was born on June 2nd, 1977, to Anna Mae (Tardif) and Tony Crowley in
Lewiston, Maine. He was the second oldest, following his sister Missy, and soon welcoming his younger sisters, Mjae and Brooke. As a child, Josh was known for being fun-loving, goofy, and a thrill seeker. Throughout his life, the light-hearted spark he had as a child never dimmed. There wasn't an adventure Josh didn't pursue. Whether it was dirtbiking, fishing, waterskiing, snowmobiling, or cliff jumping, he never backed down from a challenge. Josh put his all into what he loved–and that's what people loved so much about him.
Josh was fiercely loyal. His strongest friendships stemmed at an early age, some beginning when he was only 8. Known to his tight-knit friend group as "JT", Josh was the life of the party, always bringing energy and laughter wherever he went. To be his friend was to be part of something rare and beautiful. He had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and understood. He didn't judge; he embraced. His presence made even the hardest days feel a little easier, and his kindness, laughter, and unwavering loyalty will live on in all those who were there from the beginning.
Josh graduated from Lewiston High School in 1995 and continued his education at the University of Maine at Farmington shortly after. As a young adult, Josh often found himself working alongside his father, Tony, doing all types of different jobs. He possessed many traits necessary for leadership. He was hardworking, determined, and passionate about helping people. Quickly, Josh stepped into a co-ownership position of Crowley Construction LLC, before eventually taking it over entirely in 2016. His attention to detail, quality craftsmanship, and unwavering work ethic made him both respected and admired. Recently, Josh has been described as a cherished mentor to many of his young workers.
Above all else, Josh's proudest role in life was being a father. In 2006, he welcomed his first daughter, Olivia Crowley, into the world. Being a child at heart himself, Josh effortlessly became the joy of Olivia's life. Barbies and stuffed animals soon decorated every room of the house. No picture book was left unread, and no bottle ever left unfinished. In 2008, Charlotte Crowley was born just before Christmas–the greatest gift Josh could have asked for. She quickly became his little companion, clinging to his side whenever she could. As his daughters grew, so did Josh's love for them-boundless, devoted, and unwavering. In March of 2016, Brennan Crowley, the youngest of the three siblings, was born. Like any baby of the family, Brennan was showered with endless affection. He soon became Josh's mini-me, constantly following in his footsteps. Together, Olivia, Charlotte, and Brennan were the center of his world. He poured his heart into raising them with the same energy, playfulness, and love that defined his own life. To Josh, being their dad wasn't just a role-it was his greatest joy, his proudest legacy.
In 2021, Josh met the love of his life, Nicole Morgan. They were each other's biggest supporters, always lifting one another through the highs and lows. The past 4 years, they have shared countless unforgettable memories. From travelling out of the country to attending huge sporting events, Josh and Nicole began to build a life together. As much as he loved his own children, Josh loved Nicole's just as deeply, without hesitation, and with his whole heart. Ava, Isaiah, Josiah, Regan, and Dailen Morgan have become like his own-each one leaving a forever mark on his life, and he theirs.
Josh was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Sylvia Tardif, or otherwise known to the family as Nana. Growing up, Nana and Josh were extremely close, bonded over their love for adventure. As a tribute to their unbreakable connection, Josh's final resting place will be beside her, reunited with the woman who helped shape his heart and spirit.
Josh was a devoted father, brother, son, uncle, boss, and friend. He treated everyone as if they were family. His undeniable strength is instilled in the many lives he touched. He will forever be missed. But in every story shared, every laugh remembered, and every life he impacted, Josh's spirit will live on.
