BRADENTON, FL-It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Madeleine N. Dupré, who left us peacefully on July 2, 2025, at the Tidewell Hospice House in Bradenton, Florida. She was born on November 27, 1943, in Cabano, Quebec, Canada, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication. Madeleine's life spanned over 81 remarkable years, marked by her unwavering kindness and generosity.
Madeleine was the beloved daughter of Elphage and Eva Dionne, and is preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband Richard L. Dupré, her loving companion of 24 years William Stasulis, and her sister Louise Bova. She is survived by her cherished son Timothy, her daughter Bridget, her stepdaughter Shawna, her sisters Micheline Perron and Rolande Perron and her husband Robert, and her brother Rene Dionne. Madeleine was also a proud grandmother to Benjamin Chick-Reny and his wife Brittney, as well as Reneigh Allen and her husband Matthew. She took immense joy in being a great-grandmother to Benson Chick-Reny, whose presence brought light to her final years.
Madeleine graduated from Lewiston High School in the Class of 1960. Following her education, she dedicated her career to bookkeeping and accounting in Lewiston, Me and Altamonte Springs, Fl. Madeleine also owned and managed property management companies in Lewiston and Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Her work ethic was an inspiration to all who knew her.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Madeleine was active in her community, volunteering for sporting events to support her children. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball and broom hockey, showcasing her competitive spirit and love for sports. As a mother and grandmother, she cherished attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events and dance recitals, creating memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of her family.
Madeleine had a passion for travel and a love for music. She enjoyed singing and dancing, bringing joy and laughter to those around her. Her warm and pleasant demeanor, along with her infectious sense of humor, made her a beloved friend to many. In her later years, she found solace and companionship in her support dog, Eva, who provided her with unwavering love and comfort.
Madeleine N. Dupré will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an enduring commitment to family that will never fade.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Carlos Rodriguez-Mendoza and the exceptional staff at Tidewell Home Hospice, whose compassionate care made Madeleine's final days comfortable and dignified.
