Joshua Allen French, 45, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 7:44 pm, Friday, March 14, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born on March 6, 1980, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Jerry Jr. and Cindy (Hunter) French.
Josh was a 1999 graduate of Wabash High School and worked at Real Alloy in Wabash. Josh married Christina Legg in Wabash on October 31, 2023. He was a life member of the Tri City Dart League, and also belonged to the Boilermakers Union. Josh earned a 4th degree black belt in karate. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Golden State Warriors, and loved watching WWE wrestling. Josh enjoyed playing disc golf, basketball, boating, and diamond painting. He loved his dogs, Max and Ruby, and especially loved his family. Josh took pride in being an organ donor and helping those in need.
He is survived by his wife, Christina French of Wabash, four children; Madisen Kay French, Braydon Hunter French, Hayley Jade French, and Jathan Samuel French, all of Wabash, parents, Jerry and Cindy French of Wabash, three stepchildren; Bryar Krieg, Madison (Lacy) Strong, and Angelina Krieg, all of Peru, two sisters, Jennifer (Frank Finnegan III) Coburn of Wabash County, and Carrie (Daniel) Price of Wabash, grandmother, Margaret Hunter of Wabash, In-laws, Terry & Irene Legg of Peru, nieces and nephews, Jaxon Stith, James Ogle, Abel Price, Allie Ramsey, life long friends, John and Tracy Renn, and Richie and Anastasia Hawkins, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Roland Hunter, and Barbara and Richard French.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, March 21, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Gatlin Burton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 3:00 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Wabash County Cancer Society.
