Joshua Michael Hawthorne

With immense sorrow we as a family share the passing of our son. Al light that shone bright, still shines forever in our hearts and memories forever more. Taken too soon from this world.
Joshua Michael Hawthorne, born in Alameda, California December 17, 1983, came into this world smiling. Passed unexpectedly due to a workplace accident, May 20, 2023, while in Placer County, California.
Joshua's smile embraced everyone he met. With a huge heart, helping others brought him great joy. No children of his own, a forever child himself, he loved hanging out with his nieces and nephew, cousins, and friends. He loved the adventure of travel and outdoors, the Lake Tahoe area being his favorite local. His love of all things Ninja Turtles and Pizza was well known, the world was his playground. Affectionately people called him Old Man Josh for his ability to fall asleep after a long day around eight p.m.
Joshua is preceded in death by all but one of his grandparents. He is survived by his Grandmother Mrs. Wanda Hawthorne of Fremont, California. Also, by his loving Mother, Eva M. McLean, whom he called every day. A father, his dad, two sisters, brother-in-law, nieces, nephew, loving Aunts and Uncles, numerous cousins, and countless friends.
We gather with Joshua forever in our hearts. We gather to share memories, tears, and laughter. The enormity of his spirit reminds us how life should be lived. With Joy in our hearts, belly laughs that hurt, and especially warm inviting smiles.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 23, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Mountain View Mortuary, 425 Stoker Avenue, Reno, NV 89503.
