A funeral service celebrating Joshua “Josh” Steven Hill, 34, of Bossier City, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 7, 2025 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service.
Joshua “Josh” Hill, beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, artist, entrepreneur, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 29, 2025, at the age of 34. Born in Metairie, Louisiana on December 22, 1990, Josh lived a life full of vision, heart, and creative brilliance.
Josh was a gifted commercial artist and visionary graphic designer whose creativity touched countless lives. As a successful entrepreneur, he founded and operated multiple graphic design companies, transforming his passion into thriving businesses. Through his leadership, determination, and artistic eye, he helped others bring their ideas to life—one design at a time. His work continues to speak for him, a lasting legacy in murals, logos, branding, and digital art that will be remembered for generations.
Josh was known not only for his talent but also for his warmth. He was caring, intelligent, and charismatic. He was someone who naturally lit up every room with his energy and kindness. Josh had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and inspired.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Layla; his cherished daughter, Norah; his devoted mother, Sterling Hill; his siblings, Scott Huffman, Matt Hill, and Kelly Huffman; his stepmother, Brenda Huffman; his stepsister, Angie Auble; his aunts, Jennifer Hill and Ashley Hill Maddox; his aunt and uncle, Tracey Tidmore and Chris Tidmore; his grandmother, Donna Waddell; and his adored nieces and nephews: Matthew Waylon, Gavin Huffman, Silas Huffman, Ayden Huffman, Heidi Hill, Savannah White, and Karson Hill. He also leaves behind many cherished cousins who held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Huffman affectionately known as “Big Huff”; his grandfather, Ron Waddell; and his uncle, Chip Waddell.
The pallbearers will be DJ Worm, Ryne Redding, Billy Paddie, Jordon Wiggins, Val Scarbrough, Dylan Kelly, and Jesse Gullette.
In his memory, the family invites others to embrace creativity, pursue their dreams fearlessly, and lead with their hearts just as Josh did every single day.
