Joshua "Josh" Michael Jones was born on May 18, 1988, in Atwater, California (Castle Air Force Base), to Michael and Betty Jones. He passed away peacefully at home in Warrensburg, Missouri, on the morning of August 13, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jones, and his grandparents, Marshall and Elsie Jones, and Herschel and Ruby Spain.

Josh is survived by his father, Michael Eugene Jones; his brother, Timothy Michael Jones (Jessica, sister-in-law); his beloved nieces and nephews: Alexis, Isabella, Makenna, Greysen, and Remington; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Josh attended parochial school in Knob Noster, Missouri, and completed his primary education through a homeschool co-op. During his childhood, Josh accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at Heartland Baptist Church in Knob Noster, where he was also baptized. He regularly participated in youth groups and church activities, including a mission trip to New Orleans, Louisiana, in 2005 to volunteer after Hurricane Katrina-an experience he cherished.

A proud member of the Boy Scouts of America, Josh achieved the rank of Life Scout. He had a deep love for reptiles, dogs, anime, drawing, video games, and-most importantly-spending time with his family and friends.

Josh was known for his strong work ethic and held positions at GE, the University of Central Missouri, Lewis Extermination, and Paulo. He was a kind and loving person who never hesitated to help those in need. Josh was a son, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, and a friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
