Joshua Daniel Teel, born in Commerce, Texas on December 9, 1973, fell victim to senseless gun violence on April 27, 2025 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Britton and Estelle Teel of Greenville, Texas and Ira (formerly of Greenville) and Evelyn Leeth of Greenville, Texas. Other family members preceding him are his brother, Jason Teel of Ozawkie, Kansas; nephew, Mason R. Teel of Belton, Missouri; niece, Lariah Teel of Lindale, Texas; stepmother, Debbie Teel of Oklahoma; and stepfather, Martin Hall of Grandview, Missouri.

Joshua is survived by his mother, Rena Hall of Grandview, Missouri; father, Emory Teel of Greenville, Texas; sons, Weston (Ashton) Teel of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Zakery Teel of Grandview, Missouri; and daughter, Natalie Teel of Grandview, Missouri. He also leaves his siblings, Michael (Melanie) Hall of Suffolk, Virginia; James (Beth) Hall of Ozawkie, Kansas; L. April (Jeff) Holmes of Bates City, Missouri; Deborah Hall of Niangua, Missouri; Libby (Josh) Turner of Lindale, Texas; Elijah (Mollie) Teel of Lindale, Texas; and David Teel of Greenville, Texas.

Numerous nieces and nephews who knew him as "J-Josh" will miss his quirky laugh and playful sense of humor.

He will continue to live in our hearts until we see him again.

A memorial for Joshua will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 10AM to 8PM at Longview Lake Shelter 13.
