Joshua was born on May 22, 2001, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to Samuel Luke Williams and Laura Mae (Carden) McLeod, and died Saturday, October 12, 2024, at his residence.
Joshua served in the United States Navy and loved helping others. He was a member of Freedom Church in Lufkin. Joshua enjoyed traveling, fishing, singing, and playing the guitar.
He is survived by his mother and father, Laura and Patrick McLeod of Lufkin; father and mother, Sam and Amber Williams of Lufkin; brothers, Bradly Knight and girlfriend Maddie, Justin Acosta, Damian Roberts, and Scott McLeod, all of Lufkin; sisters, Zita McLeod, Gabrielle Wallace, Bella Wallace, and Taylor Acosta, all of Lufkin; grandparents, Linda Simcoe, James and Yvonne Williams, Gayle and Lupe Acosta, Sandra and Mikey Havard, Gene McLeod, and Larry and Julia Murphy, all of Lufkin; great-grandfather, Steve Edwards; aunts and uncles, Lyndel and Ana Carden, Clayton Simcoe, John and Shumei McLeod, David and Paula McLeod, Ricky McLeod, Kathy and Ron Pyles, JT and Brittany Williams, Adam and Kim Williams, Dennis and Shana Wilson, and Shaun and Brittney Miller, all of Lufkin; his love, Katie Grace of California; best friend, Michael Hooper of Lufkin; along with special dog, Spec.
Joshua was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Simcoe and Rick Rummer; and great-grandparents, Jim and Janette Williams, Ola Croft, and Charlene Edwards.
Pallbearers will be Michael Hooper, Bradly Knight, Justin Acosta, Scott McLeod, JT Williams, and Adam Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be the United States Navy, Hunter Nobbe, and Lucas Easley.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
