Born August 9, 2005, Josiah went home to be with Jesus on March 5, 2025. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Josiah was a graduate of Pike High School. Josiah attended church since birth, was baptized in the Name of Jesus and loved the Word of God. He also loved working in the church. Josiah was very confident and loved to work on cars. His goal was to have his own mechanic shop. His nickname, “Tank” was given to him because of his love of food. Josiah was a blessing from God to his parents and all who knew him. Josiah was predeceased by his brother and sister, Jaron Highbaugh and Jazmine Tarver.
Josiah is survived by and leaves to cherish precious memories, his parents Obie Evans and Gloria Evans. His biological parents Desmond Perry and his wife ( Precious C. DeFlanders-Perry ) his biological mother Wanda Highbaugh.Josiah also leaves to cherish his memory, Sisters: Nellie Evans, Sandra Evans, Jori Highbaugh, Desarae White, Alexandria Perry, Desme’onia Perry, Breanna Copeland, Justina Garett, DyeShae Perry. Brothers: Jamon Evans (Mya Evans), Jacobi Evans, Mark Evans, Kevin Evans, Obie Evans Jr, Pierre Nelson, Daechaun Copeland, Dequan Love, Jarvis Garett, Darnell Thompson , Desmond Perry Jr , Taylor Talley, Daeshawn Spells, and Terrance Harris. A host of Aunts and uncles, cousins, his church family and friends.
Friends and family are welcome to gather in Josiah's memory on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250, to celebrate the life of a loving son, brother, and friend.
