Jovan Eric Balderas of La Pryor, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 30.
Jovan was born on September 10, 1992 in Uvalde, Texas to Jose Eleno and Leticia (Perez) Balderas.
He married Alyssa Garcia on December 15, 2015 in La Pryor, Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife of La Pryor; his parents, of La Pryor; maternal grandmother, Cruz Perez, paternal grandparents, Gustavo and Elvira Alejandro all of La Pryor, and Paternal grandparents Candelario and Antonia Balderas of San Antonio, Texas; sons, Jovan Balderas, Jr., Julian Jose Balderas, and John Matthew Garcia all of La Pryor; brothers, Jose Balderas, Jr. and Joshua Lee Balderas all of La Pryor, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandfather Eleno Quijano, maternal grandfather Arturo Perez, great-great grandmother Leonor Pargas, aunt Diana Balderas, cousins Robert Lee Martinez, Margarito Balcazar III and Chriselda Riojas.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 7:00 PM at Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 12 Noon at Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary. Interment will follow at La Pryor Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joey Balderas, Joshua Balderas, Carlos Perez, Sr., Carlos Perez, Jr., Margarito Balcazar,Jr., Arturo Perez, III, Jose Arturo Orellana, Marco Antonio Perez, CJ Balderas.
