She is survived by her children, Steve Skalak (Maryanne), Lisa Skalak, Craig Skalak (Elke), Kelly Bishop (Mike), six grandchildren, Kristina Skalak (David), Tristan McCray, Grant Skalak (Kaleigh), Matt Skalak, Zac Bryant, Deni Clayton, and numerous great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2022, in Blandford Cemetery, 319 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Colonial Heights Library. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com

Lisa, Craig, Steve & Kelly,
Your mom lived her name, Joy! I remember spending lots of time in your house in Sherwood Hills with Lisa as a kid. She was kind, energetic and loving! From reading all the comments, I see that your mom truly spread her personal Joy to all her friends and those that knew her! What a legacy for you! Thinking of you all.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. McCray's passing. She was a very good friend & bridge partner of my mother, Marie Hastings. I always enjoyed hearing about their many outings & adventures. My sincerest condolences to the family.
