Joy Nibert Obituary
She was born November 26, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Richard F. and Margaret Joy (MacDonald) Harvey. Joy was a 1969 graduate of Watkins Memorial High School in Pataskala, Ohio and 1972 graduate of Grant Hospital School of Nursing. She started her nursing career at Grant Hospital and retired from Mt. Carmel East Hospital after 40 years of service.
Joy greatly loved her children and her Lord and served him as a pianist in her church and in nursing home ministry. Joy and husband John's love was extra special. She missed him greatly and their times together, traveling, working in the yard, and serving in their church. Joy will be remembered especially for her enthusiastic and generous spirit.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life, husband of 19 years, John A. Nibert. Joy is survived by her children, Jenni (Peter) Pierdinock, James (Maria) Nibert, Jamie Snider, Chris Snider, Andrea Snider; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, four siblings, Nancy (Sonny) Taylor, Fred (Karen) Harvey, Dick (Tessa) Harvey and Dan (Shannen) Harvey, as well as dear friends Jen Snider and Wanda Carson.
Visitation will be held from 10 AM – NOON, Friday, August 11, 2023 at Hoskinson Funeral Home, 285 East Main Street, Kirkersville, Ohio 43033 where a celebration of Life will begin at NOON Friday. Burial immediately following at Glen Rest Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
