Joyce Ann Anthony, daughter of the late Robert and Geraldine (Hargrove) Black, was born May 31, 1941 in Brosley, Missouri and departed this life on August 4, 2025 at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 4 days, at her residence in Kennett, Missouri. She married David Anthony on November 18, 1960 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Joyce worked as a bank teller for Cotton Exchange Bank in Kennett, Missouri for 30 years.
Survivors include:
Her husband: David Anthony of Kennett
Daughter: Lisa Cunningham of Holcomb, Missouri
Sister: Sandra (Gary) Eddy of Brosley, Missouri
Granddaughters: Laura Beth (Gavin) Richmond, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Katie (Hayden) Carter of Brookland, Arkansas
Great-Grandchildren: Reid and Rhett Richmond, and Caden Carter
Other relatives and many friends
Joyce was preceded in death by three brothers: Robert "Bob", John David "Dave", and Donald Ray "Rip" Black; four sisters: Doris Payne, Bettie Achter, Kathleen Black, and Anita Black, and her son-in-law: Kevin Cunningham.
Visitation will be Friday, August 8, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Johnny Bogle officiating. Burial will follow in Pine City Cemetery in Holcomb, Missouri. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Randy Payne, Dwight Emmons, Hayden Carter, Gavin Richmond, Emmett Dunn, and Cameron Galloway.
The family would like to thank Johnny Bogle, along with Legacy Hospice and special nurses, Emily Scoggins and Andrea Burr, for their excellent care.
McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
