High Point – Joyce Anita Jordan Aycoth, 89, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born on April 17, 1936, in Mooresville, NC, Joyce was the daughter of the late Daniel Eric Jordan and Clara Sue Towery Jordan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Larry Wayne Aycoth; her sister, Ellen Sue Shaffer; brother, Arnold Jordan; and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Zeth.

Joyce was a devoted Christian who loved her Lord and Savior. She was a faithful member of North Pointe Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she found great joy in worship, reading her Bible, and singing praise and worship music.

She was known for her radiant personality, contagious laughter, and joyful spirit. Joyce enjoyed square dancing and spending quiet evenings watching television. She had a unique flair for fashion, always seen in matching outfits and accessories that reflected her vibrant personality.

She retired from General Time in Davidson, where she worked diligently and made lasting friendships.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Dana Martin Overcash (Jeannie) of North Dakota; grandchildren, Danielle Russ, Savanna Overcash, and Amanda Trotter; great-grandchildren, Zophia, Zora, Madelyn, and Mason; and her sister, Judy Murray. She will also be deeply missed by her church family and all who knew and loved her.

Service details will be announced soon.
