Joyce A. Bigham

Joyce A. Bigham, 71, of Columbus, GA passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 beginning at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jacob Keeton officiating. A private interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM., one hour prior to the service. In keeping with efforts to control the spread of COVID-19, facemasks and social distancing will be encouraged.
Joyce was born on September 7, 1950 in Columbus, GA to the late Greenville Lee Laney and Frances Willene Laney. She was a graduate of Jordan High School and worked as a Dolfer at Swift Mill. Joyce was very musical talented and found great joy in sharing these beautiful gifts with others. She was the church pianist for many years at Altman Baptist Church and, most recently, at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church. In addition, Joyce sang with the Laney Quartet.
Other than her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her siblings Lemar Laney, Doris Laney Tobias, Peggy Presley, Glenda Laney Ellis, Ronald Laney and Ronnie Laney.
Survivors include loving and devoted husband Clinton "Terry" Bigham, daughter Cynthia Tollkuehn (Paul), sisters Linda Laney (David) and Teresa Price (Ronnie), and grandchildren Julie Tollkuehn, Terry Tollkuehn and Brett Tollkeuhn.
