Funeral Services for Joyce Boening are scheduled for April 4, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in La Grange with interment at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church Cemetery in La Grange. A visitation will be held at the church prior to the funeral, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Joyce Helen Boening was born on January 15, 1931 in La Grange, Texas to John Alfred Huelsebusch and Mary Martha (Hoefer) Huelsebusch. She married Leslie Edwin Boening on May 21, 1950 and they were married for 56 years until his passing on August 27, 2006
Joyce, being a mother of 6 boys, had a special menu for the week. Although she didn’t care to cook, she was great at it. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and family history. She loved her family dearly and often times had them over for a Friday night dinner. Joyce especially loved her grandchildren and always provided them with the best after school snacks. Joyce will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Joyce is survived by her sons; Robert Boening, David Boening (Jenifer), Daniel Boening (Teresa), and Steve Boening (Jackie), all of La Grange; sister-in-law, Jeannette Huelsebusch; grandchildren, Morgan Boening and fiancé Ethan Ledwik, Casey Harbers and husband Blake, Kelly Boening and Kevin Boening; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leslie; sons, Edward and Richard Boening; brother, Roy Huelsebusch; sister, Laura Jatzlau and brother-in-law Leonard and sister-in-law, Lorine Tietjen and husband Delvin.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church: or to a charity of one’s choice.
