I had the pleasure and adventure of working with Judy for many years. She always had a penchant for outside the box thinking. JVB was generous to a fault with her energy and time. Over the years we butted heads, but nearly always ended with a laugh at the absurdity of some silly misunderstanding or situation. She was a strong supporter of the Phoenix Boys Choir and the Choir´s participants. JVB was a vocal member of her professional organization, pushing it´s goals and certifications. She and I were a couple of the "old guard" nurses that railed against mediocrity and the "eating of the young" syndrome. We both knew those new kids were going to replace us.
Her ferocity in dealing her myriad of health maladies was admirable. JVB was a unique, shining example to her peers, her kids and to her profession. She will be sorely missed by many. Godspeed, Judy.
