Joyce Tregre Buckel

Joyce Tregre Buckel passed away peacefully, at her home, on May 13, 2025 at the age of 90. Wife of the late Edward Hebert by first marriage and of the late John Buckel Jr. by second marriage. Mother of Sharon Cantrelle (Ernest) and Julie Vedros (Billy). Grandmother of Ricky Tassin (Jessica) and Sondra Davis (Glenn). Great-grandmother of Nicholas, Rikilyn, Riley, Remy, Reyna, Rennan, and Felicity. Sister of the late Paul Tregre Jr. (the late Toni), and the late Laura Lee Brown (the late James). Daughter of the late Hattie Hebert Tregre and Paul Tregre Sr. Also survived by nieces and nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

Joyce was born in New Orleans, LA, was raised in Westwego, LA and resided in Marrero, LA. She was retired from The Eye Surgery Center / Dr. Stephen Brint and was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church in Marrero.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Heart of Hospice and West Jefferson Medical Center Neuro ICU for their care and compassion during this difficult time.

A private Mass was held at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, LA with interment following at Westlawn Memorial Park.
