Joyce Catherine Cops

Joyce C. Cops, 86, passed away on December 19, 2025. She was born on August 13, 1939, in Appleton, the daughter of John and Gertrude (Thyssen) Linskens. Joyce was united in marriage to Henry “Hank” Cops on August 8, 1959, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Appleton, and they were blessed with 62 years together. She will be remembered most as a loving wife and mother. Joyce and Henry were committed to serving the church in support of holy vocations, the poor, pro-life causes, and the rosary. Earlier in life, she spent time volunteering with Mother and Unborn Baby Care, Appleton, now called V.I.D.A.

Joyce is survived by her 4 sons: Jim Cops, Tom (Monica) Cops, John (Amy) Cops, and Ed Cops; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister: Shirley (Charles) Arens; other relatives and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband and parents, and a brother: Daniel Linskens, Benedictine Monk.

Funeral Mass for Joyce will be held at 11AM, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 410 E. Wallace St., Combined Locks. The visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 9AM until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the COPS Foundation of Kimberly, Inc.

Joyce’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna for their physical and spiritual care over the last few months.
