Joyce E. Fuls

Joyce E. Fuls, 82, of York died December 25, 2025.
She was the daughter of the late H. LaVerne Erwin and the late Myrtice Byrd Erwin and is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jack F. Fuls, sister Barbara E. Stumpf (Karl) of New Bern, NC, brother-in-law Les Fuls (Hope) of Enola, PA, two nephews David and Kelly, and cousins, Julie Gafford of Lake City, FL and Donna Curls (Darrell) of Wilson, NC.
Joyce was born in Drexel Hill, PA and graduated from Yeadon High School in 1960. She attended Millersville University and graduated in 1964 with a BS Degree and began her teaching career of 35 years. Joyce earned her Masters Equivalency Degree from Penn State University.
She taught third grade in West York School District for three years and then accepted a teaching position in Central School District where she taught third grade for the next 32 years.
Joyce was a member of Zion York United Methodist Church. She was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, always enjoyed watching the Kentucky Derby and loved going on cruises and spending time in Hilton Head, SC.
A graveside service and interment will be in Arlington Cemetery, State Road and Shadeland Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to: Alzheimer's Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, PO Box 1950, Clarksburg, MD 20871.
