A devoted woman of faith, Joyce was a long-time and faithful member of Hamilton Church of God. She loved the Lord with all her heart and lived a life rooted in service, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
Joyce was united in marriage to the love of her life, Lloyd Garrett Sr., and together they built a family. She is survived by five of their children: Lloyd (Linda) Garrett Jr., Donnie (Jackie) Garrett, Ricky (Angela) Garrett, Susie (Roger) Reid, and Tammy (Don) Billiott; as well as 13 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, her sisters: Linda Hughes, Karen Hansen, Grace Rios, and Ester Hansen, Special niece: Bessie Kay Wagner, and many other nieces and nephews.
A natural nurturer, Joyce cherished time with her family, treasured trips to Branson, and loved cooking big meals-especially for neighbors, friends, and countless children at Vacation Bible School. She was known far and wide for her delicious fruitcakes, pies, pressure cooker recipes, and her famous polk salad. Whether she was harvesting from nature, baking, or serving others, Joyce put her heart into everything she did.
Her servant's heart extended into her professional life, where she cared for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant and EMT at Ouachita, St. Joseph's, and CHI hospitals in Hot Springs. Her kindness, empathy, and strength made her a source of comfort to all who knew her.
Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lloyd Garrett Sr.; two of her children, Terry Willington and Sherrie Ann Garrett; her parents: Guy Terry and Lyla (Phillips)Hibbs; her brothers: RW Hibbs, Chris Hibbs, Warren Hibbs, Oscar Hibbs; and sister, Mary Hibbs Ward.
Joyce Ann Garrett lived a life of faith, love, and service. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched-family, friends, neighbors, and the generations she helped raise. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Pallbearers are Brian Joe Garrett, Dylan Reid, Preston Henry, Chris Rodgers, Michael Wainscott, Josh Barker, and Drew Brown.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jeremy Garrett, and Chad Garrett.
