Joyce Ann Gass, a devoted homemaker and cherished member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, at her daughter’s residence in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Born on August 17, 1957, in Glasgow, Kentucky, Joyce touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.
From an early age, Joyce exhibited a natural affinity for nurturing, a quality that blossomed as she dedicated herself to her family. She found joy in creating a loving home where laughter echoed and love thrived. Her heart was a wellspring of compassion, and she embraced each moment with gratitude and an infectious spirit.
Joyce is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sonia Dawn Roberts (Jesse) and Daytona England, as well as her beloved grandchildren: Christopher Furlong (Rachel), Justin Furlong (Jennicka), Taylor Elmore (Quentin), Sandy Furlong (Branson), Breanna Webb (Jonathan), Jacob England, Macayla Ford, and Trenton Ballard. Her legacy continues to shine through her several great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride. She is also survived by her special friend, Earl Emmitt Joyce also formed a loving connection with the Amish community, whom she considered family, leveraging her deep appreciation for community ties and mutual support.
Every cherished memory of Joyce serves as a reminder of her selflessness, resilient spirit, and unwavering love—a true matriarch who brought people together and filled their lives with joy. While her family mourns the loss of her presence, they celebrate the beautiful life she led and the indelible impact she had on their lives and the lives of so many others. Joyce Ann Gass will forever remain in their hearts, a guiding light whose love knows no bounds.
Her family has honored her wishes of cremation under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
