Joyce Elaine Gibson

Joyce Elaine Gibson entered her eternal reward on August 7, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on September 2nd of 1959, to Shelton and Betty Gibson in Kingsville, Texas. Joyce loved her family fiercely. She had many names the family called her such as Sissy, Sis, and Joyous. She loved taking care of everyone, family or not.

Joyce was an active member of Memorial Heights Baptist Church and enjoyed serving through missions by making cards that brought happiness and encouragement to thousands.

She was a dedicated employee at Warm Springs Hospital/Post Acute Medical for almost 48 years.

Joyce had an eye for crafting and painting. She was a Director of the Texas Art League of Luling for many years.

But, above all she loved the Lord.

The family will miss her kindness and her love; we will miss her smile and her willingness to be there if we needed anything. Losing Joyce brings such sadness, but we are comforted by knowing she lives on in our hearts and cherished memories.

Joyce is survived by her sisters Janice McGill (Neal McGill) of Princeton, Texas and Julie Belin of Gonzales, Texas and her brother Marvin Gibson (Kathleen Gibson) of Emory, Texas. She is also survived by her nieces Julie Harris, Abigayle Belin, and Kimberley Swafford, her nephews Edwin McGill, Shelton McGill, Blayne Belin and Travis Gibson. Along with her great nieces and nephews Quinley, Kade, Kason, Kash, Kate, and Jackson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Cynthia Gibson, and brother in law Jeromy Belin.

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Seydler - Hill Funeral Home from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, with a funeral service at 2:00pm officiated by Rev. Clint Lowery. Interment will follow at Gonzales Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Edwin McGill, Shelton McGill, Travis Gibson, Blayne Belin, Neil Harris and Carl Ray Gibson. Honorary pallbearers will include Rickey Gibson, Curtis Gibson and Brian Gibson.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Memorial Heights Baptist Church in efforts to continue her work in missions.
