Joyce M. Groer

Joyce M. Groer, age 81 of Bethel Township, PA passed away peacefully on January 29, 2023 at her son's home surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Chester, PA, and attended Chester High School. Joyce moved to Bethel Township in 1962 where she and her husband raised their family. She was known as the "neighborhood mom" by her surrounding friends and neighbors. In her earlier years, Joyce held jobs as a dental assistant and a secretary for the Bethel Township Planning Commission. During her children's school years, Joyce was a member of the PTA for Francis Harvey Green School. Devoted to her faith, Joyce was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church and currently the Stonybank Community Church in Glen Mills, PA. She is preceded in death by her parents; Thomas E. Campbell and Clara Akins Campbell. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Alfred E. Groer, 3 children; Alfred E. Groer Jr. (Audrey), Thomas Groer (Jennifer), Robert Groer (Jennifer), 3 grandchildren; Keith Groer (Stephanie), Robert Groer Jr, and James Groer, great grandson, Asher Groer, and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 11 at 11AM at the Stonybank Community Church, 35 Stoney Bank Rd, Glen Mills, PA followed by a funeral luncheon.
