Joyce V. Hallett
October 15, 1936 – October 8, 2025
Joyce V. Hallett, 88, of Oxford, New Jersey, passed away on October 8, 2025.
She was born on October 15, 1936, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, to the late John J. and Evelyn Fox (née LaBar).
Joyce was a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School, Class of 1954.
She was a proud, lifetime member of the Lebanon Township Rescue Squad and Ladies’ Auxiliary in Hunterdon County. Joyce was also the owner of the Woodglen Store in Lebanon Twp. New Jersey (1976-1983), she went on to work at Zee Medical Service for 20 plus yrs. Joyce enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was a very compassionate person, had a great sense of humor and was a hard worker; she loved serving her community.
Joyce is survived by her children, Sherman Lang Jr., Terri Blackmon and her husband, Robert, Bonnie Davis, Jody Hallett and her husband, Alan Turdo, Sherri Hallett, Timothy Hallett and his wife, Crystal, and Jamie Hallett. She also leaves behind her sister, Connie Newby; several (21) grandchildren; many (33) great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, George Hallett, who passed in 1986, and her siblings, Dolores Faulstick, Barbara Counterman, Marilyn Adams, Carolyn Klinger, Johanne Trays, and John Fox Jr., two step children, and a grandson and a great grandson.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, New Jersey 07882. A service celebrating Joyce’s life will begin at 12 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment at Spruce Run Cemetery will immediately follow.
