Joyce Isabel (Warner) Hayes, age 82, of Dixon, was born on April 25, 1943, a daughter of Floyd Melvin and Fern Dixie (Bull) Warner and passed from this life on Tuesday morning, July 1, 2025, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehab Center, Dixon. Joyce had drove a school bus for Vienna schools for five years and later retired from Wal-Mart after several years of working in loss prevention. She loved to bake, and some of the families favorites were her pies, breads and cinnamon rolls. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting and listening to her grandson, Timmy playing music and in her younger years, she was an avid deer and squirrel hunter and enjoyed fishing and playing cards with her family. Those left to mourn the passing of Joyce include: her daughter, Lisa Dee James of Vienna; her grandson, Timothy Read James of Troy, Missouri; her sister, Carol Sue "Susie" Nelson of Loveland, Colorado as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Floyd on February 21, 1996; her mother, Fern on November 20, 1999; five brothers, Kenneth Warner on May 21, 1942 at the age of 6 months; Terry Allen Warner on February 13, 1983; Gary David Warner on March 28, 2008; Francis Michael "Mike" Warner on March 7, 2010 and Larry Gene Warner on April 21, 2010. In keeping with Joyce's wishes, cremation was elected under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Inurnment will be in the Kenner Cemetery near Dixon and a later date and time.
