Joyce Hester

Joyce Elaine Hester passed from this life to eternal life on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at AnMed Health. Upon entering her eternal home, she was welcomed by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her parents, Willie and Alice Hester. Joyce was a loving sister to her siblings and a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lets not forget about the love and devotion she gave to her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Joyce leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Delvecchio (Leann), Cedric (Tesia), Chris, and Anthony; daughters, Jessica and Tara; sisters, Dianne, Flint, and Allison; brothers, David, Patrick, and Johnny Hester of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Shamerian Jones, Jazmine Hester, Brenasia Hester, Ladashia Hester, Brayden Hester, Kimberly Goss, MiEshia Richardson, and ZyKerria Jones; great-grandchildren, Soniyah, Ameer, Corlayshia, Ayven, Ashaun, Skylar, Amani, LaZyian, and Mondricus; her very special friend, George Elam; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her life companion, Cedric Bernard Tucker, brothers, Robert Freeman and Willie B. Hester, and granddaughter, Ashanti Hester. Funeral service for Ms. Hester will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 1:00 pm at The Unity Mortuary of Anderson with the interment to follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery, Anderson, SC. Public viewing will be Friday, March 24, 2023 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the mortuary. The family is at 705 Crescent Drive, Anderson, SC 29624.
