Joyce Ann (Ellis) Kerr, 69, passed away on May 31, 2025 at her residence in Scottsdale, AZ.
Born as the youngest of 3 children to Edwin Ellis and Lois (Anderson) Ellis in Rushville, IN, she moved to the Chicago, IL area after earning her bachelor's degree from Purdue University. She raised her two children, Bryan and Alyssa, in South Barrington, IL and later retired to Scottsdale, AZ.
Joyce was a devout Christian, dedicated mother and friend, and had a passion for online marketing. She was a lover of animals since childhood including her lamb, Lambsy, her chihuahua, Buffy, and her shih tzu, Sammy. She enjoyed playing tennis and meeting with friends to play bunco.
Joyce is survived by her children, Bryan Kerr (Lauren) in Chicago, IL and Alyssa Kerr (Angela Le) in Tempe, AZ, and her brothers, Terrell Ellis (Carol) in Bluffton, SC and John Ellis in Manilla, IN.
A celebration of life service will take place on June 20, 2025 at 11am at Willow Creek Community Church's chapel in South Barrington, IL.
A memorial service will be held on June 21, 2025 at 1pm at Todd Funeral Centre in Rushville, IN followed by burial at Goddard Cemetery.
