Joyce D. Martin, age 88, of Glenwood, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026.
She was born on December 9, 1937, in Glenwood. She was the daughter of Cloy Jester and Viva Smith Jester. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bennie Charles Martin; her son, Charles Steven Martin; and her granddaughter, Jessica Ann Goehring.
Joyce married the love of her life, Bennie, on December 23, 1956. She was a faithful member of Glenwood Church of Christ. She loved gardening and watching birds. Most of all she loved her family and being "grandma" to her grandchildren. Joyce devoted her life to taking care of others and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Jim Goehring of Glenwood; her two grandchildren and their spouses, Lauren and Coby Cost and Benjamin and Caitlin Goehring; her seven great-grandchildren, Eilley, Azlyn, Keeva, Zadie, Graham, Bryson, and Camden; her sister, LaQuita Simmons; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Mount Tabor Cemetery with Jim Goehring officiating.
