Joyce Mae Massengill

Dunn, NC: Mrs. Joyce Mae Parker Massengill, age 73, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM-Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM-Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church in Benson, NC. Rev. Randy Lucas and Rev. Shannon Crowell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. 

Mrs. Massengill was born in Harnett County, NC on October 30, 1951 to the late Carlie C. and Varena Jernigan Parker. Mrs. Massengill retired from Meadow School as a bus driver and also worked in the cafeteria. For many years prior to working, she loved to volunteer at the school. She attended New Life Pentecostal Church. She loved cruising around in her mustang with the top down. Mrs. Massengill loved to shop, and also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Joseph Marshall Massengill; son, Joseph Damon Massengill and fiancée, Jennifer; grandchildren, Katelynn Michelle Massengill, and Joseph Carson Massengill; sister, Helen McLamb; nieces, Andrea Lee and Cindy Blackmon.
