Joyce Power Sherwood Mizenko, 69, of Shaker Heights, Ohio, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

She was born April 3, 1956, in St. Joseph to Herbert and Dorothy (Phillippe) Power.

Joyce married L. William "Bill" Sherwood II on July 26, 1974. They shared 29 wonderful years of marriage until his passing. On February 20, 2004, she married John Joseph Martin Mizenko Jr., with whom she shared more than 20 years of love, laughter, travel, and companionship. He survives of the home.

Joyce was the CEO of Sherwood Promotions, a successful business she built and operated alongside Bill for most of her adult life. In retirement, Joyce found joy in many things - playing golf, traveling with John, and spending time with family - but her greatest happiness came from being "Grandma." She adored her three grandchildren, Evelyn, Charlotte, and Henry. She also cherished the constant companionship of her sweet dog, JJ, who rarely left her side.

Joyce's deep and abiding faith guided every part of her life. She loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart and is now rejoicing in His presence.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill, and her parents.

Survivors include her children, Elizabeth Sherwood Watson (Ian) and Ryan Sherwood; grandchildren, Evelyn, Charlotte, and Henry Watson; siblings, Linda Randleman (Robert), Gary Power (Dianna), and Phyllis Rush (John); as well as extended family and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

Joyce's life was one marked by devotion - to her faith, her family, and to serving others with kindness and grace. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love will live on in all who knew her.
